byahero has been to some places and will never leave captivating Capiz. It has a rich cultural heritages that can be proud of. It is full of enchantment and mystery, Capiz claims to possess several legends and beliefs from which the name "Capiz" originated. More popular of these belief stories is that Capiz comes from the word "kapid" (which means twin). Although I was raise since birth from Capiz, I havent seen any witch or Aswang that makes the captivating Capiz known before. Untill now these creatures if they exist, is still hooked up to this province. But that deep-rooted word of mouth became famous especially in Metro Manila. If they really exist I guess the captivating Capiz will no longer exist as the seafood Capital. Instead an Aswang Capital as if other people from other places may call it.
Capiz is one of the provinces comprising the Western Visayas Region. It is composed of 16 municipalities, Roxas City being its capital with 47 barangays. It is known for the brilliant Capiz shell produced here, it is used in making windows, lanterns, decorations, vases, etc. The Capiz shell has a luster similar to mother of pearl shells. In addition, it is the main source of milkfish and prawns in the country.
Now that Capiz has been captivating to visitors, may it be local tourist or international, it continous to charm ones life. And now Capiz has its own 1st interschool challenge for colleges in the province. The title is Hectic Capiznon Bloggers 2009 and is a 2-month event for Capiznon Bloggers.
